It all comes down to this! The Fall 2013 Mill Creek Park Wiffleball Tournament Final will be played on Saturday November 16th at 1:00PM at Mill Creek Park as The Dewskis will face The Sharknados.
The Final will be played as a best of 3 series. The higher seeded The Dewskis will have home field for game one and game three of the series. The Dewskis, Joe Gill and Sean McNamara, enter the Final as the #1 seed, completing the round robin with a 4-0 record and then defeating Benchwarmers 2-0 in the semi-finals. The Sharknados, Rob Cooper and Steve Casavant, come in having made it through a bumpy round robin, finishing in 3rd place with a 2-2 record. They did avenge an earlier loss to The Murray Men in the semi-final, holding on for a 2-1 victory. When these 2 teams met during round robin play, it was The Dewskis that prevailed by a slim 1-0 scoreline thanks to a solo shot from Sean McNamara. Will the Nados again exact revenge on a team that previously beat them, or will the pitching dominance of The Dewskis continue to reign?
We hope that everyone who participated in the tournament can attend as these Finals deserve a proper crowd. Of course more are always welcome to attend, the larger the crowd the better. This will be an epic battle for the coveted Championship Trophy. Which side will be the first to take it home? Saturday 11/16/13 holds the answer!
